Robust Image Matching and Recognition (RIMR)

Overview

The RIMR (Robust Image Matching and Recognition) software is a state-of-the-art solution for rapid and robust detection and recognition of scene imagery and objects in varied backgrounds. Advanced computer vision and pattern recognition technologies provide RIMR with object distinctiveness, robustness to occlusions, and invariance to scale and geometric distortions.

Features
  • Automatic extraction and encoding of highly distinctive image features leading to robust matching in cluttered backgrounds
  • Robust recognition of objects or image features with compensation for changes in illumination, size, orientation, distortion, and occlusions
  • Fast search algorithms (log(N) search time) dramatically improves on other approaches to provide search-times hundreds of times faster in a large library of images
  • Customizable interface providing flexible modules and SDK
  • Fast image analysis for real-time image rates

Applications

RIMR is a powerful and flexible image recognition solution suitable for integration with partner’s applications or a stand-alone application that requires fast and accurate image recognition. Applications include image database classification and retrieval; internet image search engine; automated image registration and target recognition; change detection; autonomous navigation; product tracking, consumer games and advertisement drivers.
